Mini MCR Kit
The Mini MCR test measures the weight of a mud cell empty, filled with sample, and topped up with fluid. This allows calculations to determine the exact volume fraction of mud retained on cuttings discard.
How to use:
- Select mud type (OBM vs WBM) to auto-fill fluid specific gravity.
- Weigh the empty cell and input as W1.
- Fill the cell with wet cuttings discard and record W2.
- Top up the remaining cell volume with fluid and record topped up weight as W3.
- Click Calculate to see the Mud on Cuttings ratio.
This method is highly robust and avoids typical volumetric readout errors caused by irregular solids geometries.
