About MCR
The Mud to Cuttings Ratio (MCR) quantifies the volume of drilling fluid lost when drill cuttings are discarded by solids control equipment (SCE).
How to use:
- Select your preferred Unit System (US vs Metric).
- Input the measured Cuttings Weight from the shakers.
- Input the active Mud Weight from your system.
- Click Calculate MCR to obtain the volumetric ratio.
Note: Standard MCR assumes typical specific gravity settings. For custom sizes or topped-up analysis, please use the Mini-MCR tool.
